Research in this area primarily focuses on efforts to design materials at a molecular level to achieve desirable properties and applications at a macroscopic level. Much of the research is highly interdisciplinary, involving collaborations with chemists, biochemists, materials scientists, mechanical engineers and biologists. Moreover, most of the researchers and graduate students are affiliated with Department of Material Engineering, Faculty of Textile Engineering, Technical University of Liberec.The first part deals with natural fibers, materials and composites”.The second part is connected with advanced thermal insulation materials.Third part is focused to advanced acoustic materials.The fourth part is a combination of diversified fibrous materials used in a wide range of applications.
