Francis (František) Korbel - Jaroslav Olša jr. This is largely because of the company he founded with his two brothers Antonín and Josef. Although it no longer publishes magazines or logs sequoia trees as it did in the 19th century, its wines continue to be sold under its more than century-old Korbel brand name. Korbel byl jedním z prvních Čechů, kteří se usadili na americkém pobřeží Tichého oceánu. Byl bezpochyby vůbec prvním přistěhovalcem z Čech, který dosáhl úspěchu v Kalifornii, a nakonec se stal nejvlivnějším Čechem své doby v San Franciscu. Korbel byl navíc nejvýznamnější osobností české Kalifornie na přelomu 20. století a prvním milionářem českého původu ve Spojených státech. Navíc je Korbel jediným Čechem své doby, který po sobě zanechal významnou stopu, která v "Zlatém státě" přetrvává dodnes. Je to především díky společnosti, kterou založil se svými dvěma bratry Antonínem a Josefem. Ačkoli již nevydává časopisy ani netěží sekvoje jako v 19. století, její vína se nadále prodávají pod více než stoletou značkou Korbel.
